We strive at all times to create an enviroment conducive to your child's recovery, and allowing the nursing staff to care for their patients with confidence.
In an attempt to assist all parents, we have compiled theses guidelines which we hope you will find formative and helpful. It is only a brief outline of what you can expect whilst your child is in our hospital.
Please feel free to ask us any questions about issues which may be of concern to you.
Promoting a happy parent/staff relationship is one of our main objectives and our policies are geared to achieve these goals.

Parents are not permitted to eat in the ward.
Parents are requested to use the dining room on the 1st floor (GMC & MPMC) or the Coffee Shop on the ground floor (GMC only).
Avoid bringing sweets, chips, fizzy drinks and other luxuries for the patients, as this might interfere with their meals, recovery and medication.
Tea or coffee and a sandwich will be supplied to parents who have been in the ward for a long period of time.

During the patients' rest time, visiting times and doctors' daily rounds, television sets will be switched off.

Public telephones are positioned on each floor for your convenience.
