Human Resources Manager

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing generalist Human Resources functions with atleast 3 years’ experience in a managerial role
• Experience working within a Private Hospital environment is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
• Computer literacy is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience of the Sage 300 People system as well as the the Kronos system
• Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to cope in a pressurised environment

Key Outputs:

• Manage and oversee all generalist HR functions for Melomed Gatesville, Melomed Private Clinic and Melomed 24 ensuring the delivery of efficient HR services.
• Lead, mentor and support the HR team, assigning tasks and projects to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their HR needs and develop workforce planning strategies to support staffing requirements. 
• Engage with external stakeholders, including unions, to address complex HR issues and maintain positive relationships.
• Establish and maintain effective HR controls and systems to ensure compliance and accuracy in HR processes.
• Manage the recruitment of staff in collaboration with management ensuring the selection of qualified and suitable candidates.
• Cultivate sound employee relationships, implement risk management strategies, and manage industrial relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of the monthly and weekly payroll input for submission to the payroll department.
• Collaborate with management and training to facilitate the completion of the training needs analysis and monitor the attainment of training goals.
• Co-ordinate the orientation and performance management processes.
• Provide advice and support to staff and management regarding HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Leave Management - ensure accurate recording and reporting of leave and usage.
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, trends, concerns, and provide reports to management.
Manage and co-ordinate HR projects, stay updated on HR trends and best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Want to apply at our affiliate company Melomed 24? Trained paramedics manage and operate the ambulance service offering basic life support, intermediate life support, advanced life support and advanced medical rescue.

The fleet currently consists of eight ambulances, one emergency response vehicle and one fully equipped rescue vehicle encompassing the latest extrication equipment for motor vehicle accidents cable of also assisting in mountain rescue and fire rescue.
