ENA - Surgical Ward

Requirements:

• Matric
• Registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
• Previous experience in a Private Hospital in a Surgical Ward 

Key Outputs:

• Strong quality patient care orientation
• BLS competent
• Ability to monitor vital signs, identify the abnormalities and report to the EN and/or RN
• Competently administering oral medication
• Competent in physical assessment
• Provide health education to parents and patients
• High energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure
• Focus on quality patient care and accompany stable patients to procedures and interventions
• Assist with setting and preparing for procedures and interventions
• Assist with patient care, pressure care, catheter care and feeding
• Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
• Adaptable and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Ability to render basic nursing care under supervision
• Shift work compulsory
• Ad hoc duties

Registered Nurse - Maternity

Requirements:

• Matric
• Professional Nursing Qualification with midwifery
• Registered with SANC
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar environment
• Work overtime when required

• High energy levels and tolerance for stress 
• Good work management, planning and organising skills 
• Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
• Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team
• Detail orientated especially with regards to stock control

Porter - Theatre Unit

Requirements:

• Matric compulsory  
• Previous experience in a hospital / hospitality environment advantageous  
• Professional and well groomed  
• A friendly disposition, excellent interpersonal and communication skills  
• Ability to cope well under pressure  
• Ability to work shifts  
• Customer centricity 

Key Outputs: 

• Transports patients to and from Theatre to the Wards
• Ensure availability of inside and outside gowns, daily
• Assist with making Theatre beds
• Assist Nursing staff with moving patients from Theatre beds
• Ad hoc duties as and when required
• Adhere to company policy and procedures

CSSD Technician - Theatre

Requirements:

• Matric 
• At least 2 years’ experience working within a CSSD department 
• Previous hospital experience will be an advantage
• Relevant certification will be in your favor
• Able to work shift work and overtime
• Excellent communication skills
• Honesty and integrity 

Key Outputs:

• Maintain infection control standards
• Understand the sterilization process
• Management of sterile packs, instruments and linen
• Management of contaminated sets and instruments 
• Management of equipment and green linen in CSSD
• Maintaining occupational health and safety principles  
• Adhering to company policies and procedures

Stock Controller - Theatre


Requirements:

• Matric Compulsory with Mathematics
• Preferably a person with nursing background
• Previous hospital experience advantageous
• Theatre stock management and billing advantageous
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Accurate, numerate, methodical and attention to detail
• Ability to cope well under pressure
• Customer centricity
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and Public holidays when required

Key Outputs:

• Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and/or unpacking of goods received from the pharmacy in accordance with written and unwritten pharmacy procedures. 
• Solid knowledge of stock control in a hospital environment with previous Pharmacy experience.
• Ensure correct and timeous processing of all documentations
• Ensure minimum and maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times.
• Initiate the ordering of replacement stock before minimum stock levels have been reached.
• Participate in all scheduled stock takes e.g. cycle and financial year end stock takes.
• Ensure that all items removed from the stock room is accounted for via patient billing.
• Ensure that inventory is organized to facilitate accessibility and safety for those working in the stores.
• Ensure proper housekeeping as per Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist with planning and manage the counting programme to satisfy internal control requirements.
• Ensure that all items received have the correct barcode for purposes of barcode billing.
• Continuously improve processes to increase stores efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage slow moving stock to prevent excessive stock levels.
