Unit Manager - Theatre


  • Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
  • At least two - five years' relevant experience in a Theatre
  • Post Basic Qualification essential
  • Management experience would be advantageous

    Key Outputs:

  • Management of staff within the Company's IR policies, Basic Conditions of Employment and the Disciplinary Code
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures at all times
  • Management of staffing in accordance with the company policies
  • Manage the day to day problem solving, including stock control
  • Conduct regular Quality focus rounds
  • Maintain infection control strategies and procedures of the hospital
  • Maintain health and safety principles
  • Focus on Quality Care
  • Evaluation, intervention and resolution of patient complaints and queries
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Manage ad hoc projects as and when required

  • Clinical Facilitator


    Grade 12
    Professional Nursing Qualification (Registered with SANC)
    Knowledge of scope of practice of all Nursing categories as well as the regulations of the SANC
    Nursing Education and/or Assessorship qualification as a recommendation
    Previous experience as an educator / facilitator / mentor would be advantageous
    Excellent communication skills
    Excellent interpersonal skills, organisational and problem-solving skills
    Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
    An established interest in staff development
    A critical aptitude with regard to patient quality care
    Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Kronos, etc.
    Own transport 
    Occasional night duty

    Key Outputs: 

    Assess staff competence according to company standards
    Plan, prepare, implement and manage the education and training requirements 
    Support and facilitate staff and students to reach specific learning objectives
    Incorporate standard technology aids/tools to enhance the learning experience and to up skill learners in the use of medical equipment
    Assist with the review of all Nursing documentation as and when requested
    Implement and maintain the standard patient documentation
    Seek to create opportunities for identifying and leveraging high potential learners by setting challenging learning channels
    Take corrective measures to improve skills

    Want to apply at our affiliate company Melomed 24? Trained paramedics manage and operate the ambulance service offering basic life support, intermediate life support, advanced life support and advanced medical rescue.

    The fleet currently consists of eight ambulances, one emergency response vehicle and one fully equipped rescue vehicle encompassing the latest extrication equipment for motor vehicle accidents cable of also assisting in mountain rescue and fire rescue.
